If you have tried snorkeling and would now like to try diving or even if it is your first time in the water. The easiest way is SNUBA, a shallow water diving system. The heavy air tank stays in a raft on the surface with 2 air hoses attached to it. Each raft takes 2 people and you have a diving guide with each group to take you to the best spots and show you the tropical fish and coral that are so abundant on Guam. With SNUBA you don't have any heavy SCUBA tanks or clumsy helmets attached to interfere with your pleasure. Since you only have a hose and regulator connecting you to the raft you can easily swim through the sea like a dolphin! Any time you want to return to the surface you simply use your hose to assist your ascent and then you can rest on the raft until you are ready to descend again.
I have been diving for 35 years and owned a dive shop for 17. The best thing I have found about SNUBA is that the whole family can go together and without the heavy tank or helmet we are able to make the underwater tour longer because it is less tiring on the guest! Our dives average 40-45 minutes-try to find that somewhere else! For a perfect day on the water try our dolphin watching and SNUBA combo. The fish are waiting…we do our diving inside a fish preserve which gives you the best chance to see fish species that are rarely seen elsewhere on Guam!
Your children from 8-11 can safely do their first dive on Snuba! With SNUBADOO children from 4-7 can enjoy the experience while safely enjoying the show from the surface with a swim vest on! These kids have been among our happiest guests!
